How to write a proposal clients actually accept

HireBase Team · · 0 min read

Short, specific and quick. The structure that wins jobs, and the three mistakes that lose them.

A proposal is not a CV. The client already saw your profile — now they want to know you understood their job.

The structure that works

  1. One line that proves you read the post. "Two coats on a 4×5 m room with the colour you chose — no problem."
  2. How you would do it, in two sentences. Prep, materials, timing.
  3. Price and what it includes. A fixed price or a rate plus an estimate of hours. Say clearly what is not included.
  4. When you can start. Give a real date.
  5. One question, if you need one. It shows care and opens the conversation.

About coins and bidding

Each proposal costs a minimum number of coins. Clients see proposals ordered by the highest bid, so on a job you really want, bidding a bit more puts you at the top of their list. Check your balance in Leads.
